Amituofo is hand carved into Gobi desert stone . Amituofo is the name of the Amitahba Buddha in Chinese. Shaolin Monks, disciples and students often greet each other with "Amituofo". A lotus flower is carved on the bottom of the amulet. Lotus flowers grow out of mud. They are a symbol that whatever problems or trouble we have, we can use our troubles to help us be peaceful as a Budda. Amulet (also called talisman) means “an object that protects a person from trouble”.
