Longevity Qigong has been passed from teacher to student for many generations at the Shaolin Temple. It is a time-tested method that returns the body to its natural state of health and well-being.
Often called The 8 Treasures, it is known as the bridge between heaven and earth. The practice connects us back to ourselves. There is nothing to work out or analyse. No pushing. No trying hard. It is a letting go.
Authentic 8 Treasures uses static tension. This relaxed tension lengthens the muscles and tendons. Without it, the practice loses its transformative power. Authentic 8 Treasures uses reverse breathing. The breath guides the energy, the energy guides the body. This is essential for the practice to work at its deepest level. Authentic Shaolin Qigong includes internal and external. Yin and Yang. Is the Qigong giving your body more energy? How do we channel this energy into our training and our life?
I teach what is real. I don’t teach ideas.
This is important for true transformation.
I share with you what I learned at the Shaolin Temple.
Through practice, the body remembers. There is no forcing. You discover your body’s natural ability to heal and to change. If you choose to do the optional third week, you continue the lineage:
- How to teach 8 Treasures so movement and breath are one
- How to release tension so the body can repair itself
- How to guide students to natural flow
- How to restore strength without force
These traditional images capture some of the 8 Treasures movements.
I teach Longevity Qigong as an Instructor Masterclass. And a streaming program.
