Beautifully carved into dark peach wood. Peach wood symbolises longevity and peach amulets are commonly shown in China. The Buddha of compassion – Guan Yin – sits in peaceful meditation. Revered by Buddhists and Taoists, Guan Yin’s name means ‘she who hears the cries of the world’.
The brown cord is non-adjustable but has some stretch and is intricately laced with small dark wooden beads. Amulet (also called talisman) means “an object that protects a person from trouble”.
